"You can even end your career". Jame speaks about winning Major

Outsiders' in-game leader Dzhami "Jame" Ali commented in an interview on the Youtube channel Virtus.pro on his team's triumph at the recent IEM Rio Major 2022. The Russian esports athlete noted that he was happy to earn the most significant achievement in the history of the CS:GO pro scene and that this success even helps him cope with some of life's difficulties.

I was happy because this was the world championship and we won it. I was happy the next day and the following days, and even now, when problems in my life arise, I realize that I am the winner of a Major. And if I had even 50 times more such problems, usually it is something insignificant, then I would still be happy because not everyone has a Major victory under their belt. Overall, you can even end your career. You won it and that's it: you don't owe anyone anything, you are clean with yourself and 10 years of playing this game are not spent in vain.

Jame also spoke about the short-term lead in the world ranking.

A week is the least you could last there, so it's not really cool, of course. But in general, you're the best in something among 8 billion people. And it doesn't matter that there are thousands of such games. At least you fulfilled yourself in one, and it's a cool feeling. You are self-actualized in the moment, for this week, and now, of course, it's kind of sad that we are top 2.

The Outsiders roster won the Rio Major having bested Heroic in the grand final. The current world champions' next tournament will be BLAST Premier World Final 2022, which will take place on December 14-18 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
