cowana ceases operations

German esports organization cowana has announced on social media that it is shutting down all operations, citing the "effects of the international crises", which limited the financial possibilities of the club, as the main reason.

Earlier, Kevin "HS" Tarn, who unilaterally terminated his contract last month, spoke out on the problems cowana had with the implementation of obligations to the players. Later, it was also revealed that Thomas "Thomas" Utting and Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend left the team on their own initiative.

cowana's press release notes that the management of the organization will make every effort to ensure that the outstanding payments to employees and players will be settled by the end of the year.

cowana entered the CS:GO pro scene in 2020. Throughout this time, the team failed to gain a foothold at the international level, but the German-majority squad achieved significant success in the regional arena.
