Jerry on forZe's plans for 2023: "We find the proper players and will be able to get back in the top 15"

forZe's in-game leader Andrey "Jerry" Mekhryakov spoke about the goals for 2023 in an interview on the NartOutHere YouTube channel. According to the captain, by next year the team needs to complete the roster after parting with two players, which will help to be back at a Major and enter the top 15 of the world ranking.

We find the proper players as we see them and I think we will be able to get back in the top 15 again. After the top 15, we will compete at a Major, that's the main goal. Once you get into a Major, you realize that all the teams are preparing for the Major and that means that you are among the best of the best. So that's the first step I think, it's getting into the Major again, into the top 20 or top 15.

Jerry also explained the reasons behind the reshuffle that took place shortly after forZe's elimination from the European RMR tournament. He clarified that within the team, there were separate groups of players who did not get along with each other. According to Mekhryakov, the first problems appeared back in the spring during PGL Major Antwerp 2022, and by autumn it was obvious that the team would not be able to continue playing without replacements.

After Evgeny "Norwi" Ermolin and Aleksandr "KENSI" Gurkin were removed from the starting five, forZe trialed a number of players, including Eugene "Aunkere" Karyat and Amin "sugaR" Azimov. Jerry noted that at the moment the team continues to look into Aunkere, sugaR and other potential candidates.
