BLAST allows Outsiders to participate in BLAST Premier World Final 2022

Tournament operator BLAST has announced via its official Twitter account that the Outsiders team will take part in BLAST Premier World Final 2022. The squad received an invite as the winner of IEM Rio Major 2022.

Dzhami "Jame" Ali and company were handed out the invitation despite the ban imposed by BLAST in March of this year on the participation of Russian teams in their events. Back then, the tournament operator made such a decision amid hostilities in Ukraine.

According to BLAST's press release, Outsiders players are only eligible to compete in the World Final 2022 under a neutral name. They will not be able to associate themselves in any way with the Virtus.pro organization, which they represented until March, after which the club was banned by all major tournament operators due to having ties to the Russian government.

BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will take place on December 14-18 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The championship will feature eight teams competing for a total prize pool of $1 million.

As of now, only four participants in the big LAN are known. Besides Outsiders, these are FaZe, who received an invite after finishing first at ESL Pro League Season 15, the champions of BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022 in NAVI, and Vitality, the victors of ESL Pro League Season 16. Another invitation will go to the best team of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022, while the three rest will be given out based on the internal rating of the tournament operator.

The team list for BLAST Premier World Final 2022 looks as follows:
