karrigan to replace JW in showmatch at IEM Rio Major 2022

FaZe's in-game leader Finn "karrigan" Andersen will take part in the showmatch ahead of the IEM Rio Major 2022 grand final, the organizers of the Major have announced on Twitter. The Dane will join Team Sweden, replacing Jesper "JW" Wecksell, who is out after falling ill.

Playing alongside karrigan will be the legendary trio of former NIP players Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, Adam "friberg" Friberg and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, as well as his ex-FaZe teammate Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer. The opponents of the Scandinavian team are Brazilians from the former Luminosity/SK roster led by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo.

The showmatch as part of IEM Rio Major 2022 will take place today, November 13, at 19:00 MSK. At the time of publication of the material, there is no information about the format of the meeting, as well as a map on which the teams will lock horns.
