s1mple: "When NAVI beat FURIA, I hope all the Brazilians will cheer for us"

NAVI player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev has no doubts about his team's victory over FURIA in the IEM Rio Major 2022 quarterfinals. In an interview with Dust2.com.br, the star AWPer expressed hope that after getting the better of the Brazilians, the entire local audience will support the Black-and-Yellow side in their next playoff games.

We played in front of the stands where there were 5 thousand people, but now there should be 18 thousand, and another 10-15 thousand outside the arena. FURIA are the favorites of the audience. They have experience playing in front of a crowd. This team made it to the playoffs with a 3-0 record, but I think we have more chances in the quarterfinals. FURIA just have an advantage because of the fans. Unfortunately, we will have to play against the fans. When NAVI beat FURIA, I hope the Brazilians will cheer for us.

s1mple believes that in order to win the upcoming match, NAVI must neutralize FURIA's strengths, one of which is aggressive play.

It will depend a lot on how FURIA play. If they start playing fast and we are affected by the crowd, the opponents can do some serious damage. I hope I can show my best individual performance, but first of all, we need to win.

The meeting between NAVI and FURIA will take place today, November 11, and will start at 23:30 MSK. The winners will advance to the semifinals, where they will face off against the victor of the Heroic – Team Spirit matchup.
