The Challengers Stage of IEM Rio Major 2022 has come to an end, with eight teams advancing to the Legends Stage. fnatic became the last confirmed participant of the tournament's next phase after getting the better of 9z 2:0 – 16:11 on Mirage and 16:14 on Nuke.

In the Legends Stage, William "mezii⁠" Merriman's squad will compete with fifteen opponents for eight tickets to the Major's playoffs. The second stage of the tournament will run from November 5 to 8.
