ALEX parts ways with fnatic and goes inactive due to health issues

British player Alex "ALEX" McMeekin has announced on Twitter his departure from fnatic. Five months after being benched, the esports athlete came to an agreement with the organization to terminate the contract and does not intend to return to the CS:GO pro scene in the near future.

According to ALEX, he has stomach issues that he has been living with for several years. Now the player is concentrated on recovery, the exact duration of which is unknown.

McMeekin had played for fnatic since last fall, when the club created an international CS:GO roster for the first time in its history. Under the leadership of the Briton, the team was unable to achieve significant results at big tournaments.

ALEX was removed from fnatic's starting five in March of this year. Subsequently, the organization rebuilt the team around William "mezii" Merriman, who became the new in-game leader, and Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson.
