Aurora players' visa issues settled as they go to Europe RMR

Aurora have resolved the issues with obtaining Schengen visas and went to the upcoming European RMR event in full force, member of the newly formed team Viktor "Lack1" Boldyrev announced via Twitter.

Aurora's participation in the upcoming qualifier for IEM Rio Major 2022 was at risk due to some players not having visas. Besides this team, similar issues affected 1WIN and K23, with the former reportedly having all the visa issues resolved.

The difficulties in obtaining visas for Russian players have to do with the restrictions the European Union introduced in early September regarding issuing documents to Russian citizens. Consulates have been able to extend the application processing time and lower priority for issuing tourist visas.

Earlier, Benched Heroes member Eugene "Aunkere" Karyat could not get permission to enter the Schengen zone, which, along with Buğra "Calyx" Arkın not having the visa, did not allow the team to take part in the RMR tournament.

The Europe RMR will take place from October 4 to 9 in Malta. Besides Aurora, fighting for eight tickets to the upcoming Major will be FaZe, Team Spirit, NIP, Cloud9, G2, Bad News Eagles, Sprout, fnatic, B8, forZe, Eternal Fire, ECSTATIC, Astralis, 1WIN and GamerLegion.
