ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 closed qualifier invitees unveiled

The organizers of ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 have announced on their social media the direct invitees to the closed qualifiers that will be held in three regions: Europe, North America and South America. A total of eight teams have been invited.

In the European region, invites were handed to Entropiq, forZe, Eternal Fire and Sprout, who will be joined by four winners of the open qualifiers. Eight participants will battle out a spot in the upcoming tournament on September 16-18.

The participants' list for the Europe closed qualifier is:

In North America, the closed part of the qualifiers will take place on September 17-18 with ATK, TeamOne and Squirtle Squad taking part. Fighting for a ticket to the tournament will be three invited teams and the winner of the open qualifiers.

Just like North America, the South America closed qualifier will feature four squads. paiN and Imperial received direct invites, while two other participants will be known following the results of the open qualifiers.

ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 will take place on October 14-16 in the Netherlands. Eight teams, of which half will be invited directly and the other half will come from the qualifiers, will compete for $100,000 and a spot in EPL Season 17 Conference.

As of now, the only confirmed team at the event is Nixuh. The roster, whose most famous member is former Cloud9 and Extra Salt player Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek, booked its berth after winning the South African qualifier.
