European mix schadE halt disqualified from Elisa Invitational Fall 2022 for match-fixing

Tournament operator Elisa has disqualified schadE halt from Elisa Invitational Fall 2022. According to the press release published on the organizers' official website, the reason for this decision was suspicious behavior in the matches played by this team.

The organizers were informed about the fraud cases by an unnamed trusted partner responsible for ensuring the fair conduct of the tournaments.

Based on the information published, schadE halt players manipulated the outcomes of two matches at the Elisa Invitational Fall 2022 Contenders: against PROSPECTS on August 23 and against yodagus on August 29. The suspects lost the first game and celebrated the victory in the second.

The schadE halt composition consists of little-known players from Germany, Ukraine and Poland. A quartet of Daniel "KrowNii" Michel, Thomas "powerYY" Becker, Sergey "smike" Sklyarenko and Gabriel "gab" Jaroszuk took part in the two aforementioned matches. Rand "Rand" Kadir played alongside the four in the game against PROSPECTS and was replaced by Bogdan "Bodik" Nastych versus yodagus.

Elisa's press release also notes that the suspicion has been reported to Finnish authorities for further investigation. Other tournament operators and the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) were also notified of suspicions of fraud by schadE halt.
