YEKINDAR on possible move to Liquid: "I will see what happens later. It depends on IEM Cologne 2022 as well"

Latvian esports athlete Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis admitted that he could continue his career in Liquid, where he plays as a standin for IEM Cologne 2022. In a conversation with a journalist from Fragbite, he specified that his final decision, among other things, will be based on the results of the North American roster at the ongoing tournament.

YEKINDAR added that several teams have now expressed interest in his services.

I don't know. I will see what happens later. It depends on this tournament as well. Overall, I had a good experience in the Netherlands in Utrecht in Liquid's facilities. So who knows, maybe. <...> Can't really say that but there have been a couple of offers.

YEKINDAR still has an active contract with Virtus.pro, who moved him to the bench shortly after PGL Major Antwerp 2022. In June, the player spoke about agreeing on the terms and timing of parting with the Russian organization but did not specify what exactly was meant by that.

Together with YEKINDAR, Liquid had an unsuccessful start at IEM Cologne 2022. In their first match, the team suffered a defeat by Team Spirit, and tomorrow, July 9, will play an elimination match against the loser of the FaZe – 00NATION matchup.
