s1mple, karrigan and other players complain about problems with CS:GO after new update

Many professional players, including such eminent esports athletes as NAVI's AWPer Alexandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and FaZe's in-game leader Finn "karrigan" Andersen, have publicly complained about performance problems with CS:GO. On their Twitter accounts, they addressed Valve with a request to rectify the situation.

At the time of publication of the material, there is no information about what caused the problems that appeared after a minor night CS:GO update. karrigan suggested that this was not related to the game update, but to the Steam update, which also took place on the night of May 13. s1mple did not comment anything about the possible reasons and only noted that CS freezes every two seconds.

Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia from Movistar Riders described the problem in more detail. According to him, he experienced game freezes in two cases: when moving the camera with the mouse and when spraying.

The existing problems with CS:GO appeared the day before the start of the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Legends Stage, which may affect the preparation of teams for the opening matches of the stage. This, among others, was stated by FaZe's AWPer Helvijs "broky" Saukants. Like other members of his team, he asked Valve to look into the situation as soon as possible, as this does not allow for normal practice sessions.
