ESEA hands two-year bans to four coaches for using coaching bug

Tournament operator ESEA has announced a two-year suspension of four coaches who were engaged in using the spectator mode bug in various divisions of the league. The press release was published on the company's official website.

The list features four little-known specialists who are registered on the platform under the nicknames Meand, s0undwave-, xqwertt and LostDF.

The ESEA's announcement notes that all identified cases of abusing the coaching bug have been forwarded to the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) for further investigation. The company expressed its readiness to change the duration of its two-year ban depending on the ESIC's verdict.

The news about the coaching bug abuse in ESEA divisions followed shortly after a larger investigation by ESIC. Earlier, the Commission identified 97 specialists who are suspected of using the bug. Three of them, namely Sergey "hally" Shavaev (Team Spirit), Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu (Imperial) and Rafael "zakk" Fernandez (9z), were barred from taking part in PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
