BLAST kickstarts host city selection for 2023

Tournament operator BLAST has started receiving applications from cities willing to host BLAST Premier series events in 2023. The press release was published on the official website of the company.

From April to August 2022, BLAST representatives will accept applications and advise city locations wishing to host the tournaments. It was also noted that the final choice will be made on the basis of a comprehensive and independent analysis.

The information about the host city selection process for BLAST events in 2023 came shortly after the company announced its BLAST Premier Spring Final 2022, which is set to be held in Lisbon. Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the event in the capital of Portugal will be the second LAN tournament with a live audience to be hosted by BLAST. The first one was the final of the fall season in 2021, which took place in Copenhagen.

BLAST has been operating since 2017 and organizing big BLAST Pro Series tournaments. In 2020, the company abandoned the single-event format and introduced a full-fledged calendar of year-round competitions divided into spring and fall seasons, both of which end with the World Final. The new series goes under the BLAST Premier banner.
