IEM Katowice 2022 not to be stopped amid hostilities in Ukraine
The IEM Katowice 2022 organizers have announced that the decisive stages of the CS:GO and StarCraft II events taking place in Poland will be held according to a pre-approved schedule despite the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine. The press release was published by ESL on Twitter.
It is noted that at present, all the efforts of the tournament operator will be directed to helping players who are affected by the current situation.
We are closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine. Our current priority is to support the players, the talent and the staff who may be affected by it.

The SC2 & CSGO tournaments will continue as planned.
Earlier, Maincast, a studio owning the rights to the Russian-language coverage of IEM Katowice 2022, suspended its work amid the hostilities in Ukraine.
The playoffs of the prestigious LAN tournament in Poland will kick off on February 25 with the quarterfinal matches Virtus.pro – G2 and FaZe – Gambit. At the semifinal stage, NAVI and Heroic will also join the race for the trophy.
