Heroic to play in IEM Katowice 2022 semis; Gambit beat NIP to book playoffs spot

In the upper bracket final of Group A at IEM Katowice 2022, Heroic defeated Virtus.pro 2:0 – 16:5 on Mirage and 16:10 on Vertigo. With three victories in the group stage, the Danish squad advanced to the semifinals, while Dzhami "Jame" Ali's team will start the playoffs from the quarterfinals.

In turn, Gambit took over NIP in the decisive match of the lower bracket of Group A in a two-map affair – 16:10 on Ancient and 16:12 on Vertigo. The CIS squad secured a slot in the quarterfinals, while the Scandinavians finished their tournament run.
