ESL extends agreements with partner teams until 2025
Tournament operator ESL has announced the extension of the partnership with fourteen partner teams of the Pro League. The cooperation within the so-called Louvre Agreement will last at least until 2025.
ESL's partner teams are Astralis, BIG, Complexity, ENCE, Evil Geniuses, FaZe, FURIA, fnatic, G2, MOUZ, NAVI, NIP, Liquid and Vitality. The members of the Louvre Agreement have a permanent slot in the Pro League and share in profits from the ESL Pro Tour series championships.
Interestingly enough that out of three clubs that have recently joined the partnership program – BIG, FURIA and Heroic – only the first two are mentioned in the list of partners, with whom the partnership has been extended. The ESL's press release did not specify the reasons for such decision.
It is important to note that Heroic's full participation in the partnership will begin in the second half of 2022. The club has been allocated time to adopt new corporate standards following a public incident with former coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, which concluded with an investigation by ESIC.
