All competitive maps become CT-sided after the M4A1-S buff

After the M4A1-S got buffed in body damage in September 2021, the balance on all maps of the competitive map pool changed towards the defense, Pley.gg reports.

The journalists analyzed the matches with the participation of teams from the top-30 of the world ranking. They found out that before the update, the T-side had a higher winrate on Dust2, Inferno and Vertigo, however, after the adjustments made to the M4A1-S, all the competitive maps became CT-sided.

As of now, the most convenient maps for the defense statistically are Nuke (57% winrate), Dust2 (56%) and Mirage (55.6%), while for the offense these are Inferno (48.7%), Vertigo (48.6%) and Overpass (44.6%).

In September last year, along with the M4A1-S buff, the CS:GO developers also made the grenades droppable, nerfed the damage of the Desert Eagle and added the wall blocking vision of the middle on Dust2 from the T-spawn. Besides, the game update was released alongside the Operation Riptide.
