Astralis's director of sports: "Lucky will adapt and become even better in his new role"

Director of sports of Astralis Kasper Hvidt in an interview with Berlingske expressed hope that the team's dedicated AWPer Philip "Lucky" Ewald will eventually adapt to the rifler role and help the Danish team achieve their goals. In 2022, the director also counts on good results from the two recent rookies Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke.

I expect Benjamin and Kristian to prove themselves as some of the best players in the world in their roles in 2022. We will also see Philip adapt and become even better in his new role.

Hvidt added that the goal of Astralis is to fight for the top places. He expects the roster to reach this level by the next Major, which is to take place in May next year.

Given the fact that gla1ve and Xyp9x are both bearers of our club's culture and have their own strengths, I hope that we will be among the best in the world by the beginning of the first Major in 2022. We compete with many interesting teams, but Astralis's goal is to reach the top of the world ranking and be in the competition for big titles. We've got everything for that.

After the reshuffle in November, the best result of Astralis was the third place at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021. At the same time, the team failed to show their best game at the next two tournaments, which were IEM Winter 2021 (9-12th place) and BLAST Premier World Final 2021 (5-6th place).
