IEM Fall 2021 viewer's guide

The RMR championship IEM Fall 2021 is scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 10 in all six regions. Tournaments for the CIS, North America, South America, Asia and Oceania will be played online, while European teams will meet at a LAN event in Stockholm, Sweden.

The European competition is the longest one and will take up all the game days planned. 24 teams are divided into four groups, where they will play each other in best-of-ones, after which the eight best squads will continue to fight in the Single Elimination bracket. All the matches in the playoff stage will be held in a best-of-three format, while the grand finalists will fight in best-of-five series.

The regional championship in the CIS will take place from September 29 to October 3. The group stage will feature 12 teams, divided into two groups in a Round-robin best-of-one format. Only two representatives of each group will advance to the playoffs, and those will face in the Single Elimination bracket with best-of-three semifinals and a best-of-five final.

In North America, eight teams will compete from 5 to 10 October. After the group stage, where in two groups teams will meet with each other in best-of-one matches, the four strongest rosters will face off in the playoffs: semifinals - best-of-three series, final - best-of-five series.

In South America, Oceania and Asia, due to the small number of participants, the tournament will start off with the playoffs in a Double Elimination format. Four teams will compete in each of these regions. The championship for South America and Oceania will take place from September 29 to October 3, while the Asian part from October 5 to 10.
