sh1ro: "During the break, I did not open CS at all, and started training at the beginning of August"

The AWPer from Gambit Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov, in a video of the organization’s YouTube channel, told about spending his vacation and getting back to a competitive shape after the end of the summer break. He noted that during the break he has been away from CS:GO completely, starting his training with the team at the beginning of this month.

During the break, I went to Cyprus with my family, where I had a good rest for ten nights. Came back, spent my time with family, and returned to Moscow to prepare for the season. During the break, I did not open CS at all, and started training at the beginning of August. I had a hard time remembering some aspects on the first praccs, but it was not a big a deal, just a normal gaming practice.

Also, Sokolov shared his expectations about his team’s performance at ESL Pro League Season 14. Advancing to the next stage of the tournament is Gambit’s first priority, the 20-year-old Russian believes.

I think we should, at least, advance to the next stage, and then we’ll see. <...> Additional preparation for the underdogs? No, we don’t do it. Now we play without thinking about it. We only want to get to the playoffs, and we better do it finishing first in the group.

Gambit will compete in group D together with Entropiq, FURIA, NIP, Liquid, and TeamOne. After all matches played from 1 to 5 September, only the three strongest teams will get a ticket to the playoffs.
