ALEX about fnatic: "I can spend the rest of my career here building something special"

fnatic in-game leader Alex "ALEX" McMeekin shared his impressions on joining the new organization answering questions from Reddit users. The esports athlete expressed a desire to play for fnatic till the end of his professional career, and called the club the biggest of all he has ever happened to be in.

I've been in multiple big orgs now but probably none this big, so it's hopefully a final step up & I can spend the rest of my career here building something special.

Personally, my aim is to create my own legacy within this Legendary org that already has so many incredibly storied players, whether that be past or present, and doing so by winning as many tournaments as we can, and hopefully a Major along the way.

McMeekin is positive that his team is still able to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm 2021. To do this, the roster will have to successfully perform at IEM Fall, the final European RMR-tournament.

Obviously the Stockholm major is big for us, especially as we have 3 swedes & swedish staff, but we'll be taking it tournament by tournament building towards the major qualification. I believe it is still possible to qualify for the Major, and it's something we're very much hoping to do.

At this point, fnatic are ranked 14th in the European RMR-ranking with 294 points. In order to make it to the major, the team would have to climb up to at least 11th place, currently occupied by Sprout (480 points).

ESL Pro League Season 14 will be the next championship for fnatic. From August 27 to 31, the squad will compete in group B to fight against BIG, Evil Geniuses, FaZe, mousesports, and NAVI for one of three spots in the playoffs.
