Certus: "Our expectations are also much higher than what we have at the moment"

Team Spirit coach Nikolay "Certus" Poluyanov addressed the team's fans after an unsuccessful performance at ESL Pro League Season 14. The Russian coach, whose words were quoted in the Telegram channel of the organization, said that the team's expectations and results did not match.

Poluyanov promised to make changes in the training process, which will help the "dragons" show their best in the next RMR-tournament for the CIS region.

First and foremost, we would like to apologize to our fans for our result at ESL Pro League. We are very grateful for those who support us in this tough time, and for those who provide constructive criticism – we hear you. We also realize that we cannot always deliver results you expect from us, but believe me – our expectations are also much higher than what we have at the moment.

COVID has left its mark on all of us: for Team Spirit CSGO it means that since the start of the pandemic we could only have one short bootcamp in Serbia this spring. Despite that we have worked very hard online. Such a devastating result always gives a lot of information to analyze as well as motivation to fix and better our approach to practice.

We will use the following weeks before IEM Fall RMR to see what went wrong in both our games and our practice routine – and fix our approach accordingly. We believe it will help us reach a new level and start delivering on our fans' expectations.

It should be reminded that Team Spirit finished the second lowest in Group A at ESL Pro League Season 14. The team lost to Heroic, Astralis, ENCE, and Vitality, having won the only match against Bad News Bears.
