gade on joining BIG: "I wouldn’t say there is a drop in firepower"

BIG newcomer Nicklas "gade" Gade, in an interview with Dexerto, suggested that the shooting level of the team is not going to drop after he came to take the place of Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş, who left the team. The Dane believes that his diverse skills can compensate for the loss of the Turkish player.

For my own sake, I wouldn’t say there is a drop in firepower, but we’ll see how it goes. I know XANTARES is a great player, super skilled. You can’t take that away from him. But I think I have other assets to add to the team.

I’m just trying to come into the team, see how everything works, and then slowly adapt and find my own way of contributing. He’s [tabseN] doing a great job with that and I’m going to leave that to him. I’d like to be the secondary voice in the team and have a lot of impact with mid-round calling, but I’m not trying to change anything.

gade joined BIG during a summer break on the professional stage. The debut of the renewed German roster will take place at ESL Pro League Season 14, where the team will compete in Group C. From August 27 to 31, the squad will face Evil Geniuses, FaZe, fnatic, mousesports, and NAVI to fight for the spot in the playoffs.
