BLAST Premier adds new regions for Autumn Qualifiers
BLAST Premier organizers have unveiled the qualifying format for the next Showdown tournament of the fall season, scheduled for mid-October. Qualifiers will take place starting from July through September in eight regions: the Iberian Peninsula, Middle East, Scandinavia, Western Europe, South America, Eastern Europe, China and North America.
Eight teams will compete in each qualifying tournament. In addition to an invitation to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021, there will be a $25,000 participation fee.
Andrew Haworth, Commissioner for BLAST Premier, said: “The Spring Qualifiers were a huge success and we are delighted to be able to build on that by expanding into new regions, offering more places in the Fall Showdown and investing $200,000 via participation fees into these teams’ long-term futures.
“We approached the 2021 season with the aim of creating more opportunity and investment into regions around the world – we feel we are on the right path to achieving that and look forward to seeing another set of qualifiers packed with big upsets and brilliant CS:GO.”
