NiP critisize organizers following their loss at Flashpoint 3
Swedish organization Ninjas in Pyjamas released an official statement, which criticized the organizers of the European RMR-tournament Flashpoint 3. Due to the fault of the tournament operator, the team encountered technical problems during the match with Anonymo, but did not receive cooperation from the administrators to solve them.
According to the published information, NIP players were experiencing packet loss of up to 40% on all backup servers of the FACEIT platform, which acts as a technical partner of Flashpoint 3. They managed to fix it only on the servers of another provider, but the RMR tournament organizers refused to accept the offer despite Anonymo's agreement and forced the team to finish the match which ended in a defeat for the ninjas.
NIP lost 1-2 to Anonymo, 16-3 on Overpass, 13-16 on Nuke and 17-19 on Mirage. Immediately after the match, players from the Swedish club wrote on their social networks that they were forced to play with the loss of packages because the organizers refused to help the team.
Flashpoint 3 runs from May 10 to 30 online. Sixteen teams compete in a Double Elimination playoffs format for a cash prize of $50,000 and 13600 RMR points.
