Extra Salt is the final participant of BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021

Extra Salt defeated paiN Brazilians 2-1 in the grand finals of the North American event VENN Invitational Spring 2021. Former Cloud9 lineup earns $25,000 and completes the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021 list of participants.

Extra Salt and paiN finished the group stage in the first place of their respective groups. Extra Salt continued their dominating streak over Triumph and have defeated them once more in the semifinals of the playoffs bracket and paiN barely had any trouble with the former Rebirth lineup. Teams required all 3 maps to determine the winner of this rivalry with the North American managing to turn the tides performing a comeback on the CT side from 11:4 score in the first half.

This victory extends the winstreak of Extra Salt to 5 victories and repeats the team's success earlier this month when they've also managed to defeat paiN at DreamHack Open March 2021 and have earned themselves a chance to show themselves at IEM Summer 2021.

BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2021 kicks off April 13 with the final match scheduled for April 18. Sixteen participants will compete for $162,500 in prize money and two trips to the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021.
