Extra Salt & paiN seeded in separate groups at BLAST Premier qualifier
The organizers of the VENN Invitational Spring 2021, which acts as a qualifier for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021, have presented the results of the group stage draw. Extra Salt and paiN, who are the region's leaders after most of the top tier squads moved to Europe, will compete in different groups.
The group stage of the event begins March 26 and will be held in Double Elimination (GSL) BO1 format. Two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, where they'll face off on the night of March 29 for a BLAST Premier slot and $25,000 in the Single Elimination bracket in the best-of-three matches.

The VENN Invitational Spring 2021 champion will join Astralis, G2, Liquid, OG, Vitality, MIBR, Gambit, Heroic, FURIA, NASR, Team Spirit, 9z, SAW, Endpoint, and the winner of qualification for Scandinavia in the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021. The competition for the prize pool of two trips to the BLAST Premier 2021 spring season finale and $162,000 will take place from March 13-18.
