mousesports lost to Gambit (11:16 on Dust2 and 10:16 on Vetrigo) in the IEM Katowice 2021 Group A lower bracket match, becoming the first team to finish their tournament run in the group stage. In the parallel upper bracket semifinal game, Astralis defeated Evil Geniuses (16-9 on Train and 16-7 on Dust2) thus advanced to the group finals.

In the next pair of matches Team Spirit have defeated Heroic in the semifinals of the upper bracket of Group A at IEM Katowice 2021 - 16:12 on Inferno and 16:14 on Nuke. That means the team from the CIS got its second win in a row in the group stage and secured a spot in the playoffs.

G2 was stronger than BIG - 16:10 on Inferno and 16:12 on Mirage simultaneously with the upper bracket game. Nemanja "nexa" Isakovic's roster will continue to fight for a playoffs spot through the lower bracket, where they will play confront Evil Geniuses in the second round.
