junior will make debut for FURIA at IEM Katowice 2021

FURIA's most recent active Pateen "junior" Johnson joined the teammates at the bootcamp in Germany and will make his debut at IEM Katowice 2021. The coach of the Brazilian team, Nicolas "guerri" Nogueira, announced this in an interview to MGG Brasil.

The American sniper signed with FURIA a month ago but had to miss some tournaments because he couldn't come to Europe because of the problems with his passport. He was replaced by the team's sixth player, Lucas "honda" Cano.

Commenting on FURIA's readiness for the upcoming championship, Nogueira assured that the squad began training with junior when he was still in North America. He also confirmed that the Brazilians had to completely change their approach to the game, as communication during matches is now in English.

Things are going well - even better than I expected. Everyone is getting out of their comfort zone. We have renamed every point on every map, and the process continues. It's a step back because there are a lot of changes going on. We're changing the player, we're switching to a new language of communication for us. Sometimes we explain something to the junior and he doesn't understand, or he speaks so fast that we don't understand. We still need to adapt. But I'm very happy, as well as the other members of the squad, because everyone is learning and making an effort.

IEM Katowice 2021 starts on February 16 with the Play-In stage. FURIA, on the other hand, got a direct invite to the group stage, which will take place from February 18 to 21.
