NiP extends THREAT for three more years

NiP announced they continue cooperation with the coach Bjorn "THREAT" Pers. The new contract of the Swedish specialist is scheduled for three years.

“I am thrilled that Björn has trusted us with the next three years of his career. He’s one of the most knowledgeable coaches/IGLs in the history of the game, and embodies the values we treasure at NiP. Our vision of building a modern, top tier esports organisation, is centered around providing the best support, empowerment and performance environment for the top tier talent, both coaches and players, and I fully believe that this combination will be the foundation of championship winning teams at Ninjas in Pyjamas for decades to come.”, says Jonas Gundersen, Chief Operating Officer.

THREAT joined NiP at the end of 2019 and after several months as an analyst he replaced Faruk "pita" Pita as a head coach. Under his leadership, the team's best achievement was 3rd-4th place at ESL One Cologne 2020 and 4th place at DreamHack Open Fall 2020.

In a comment for the official website of the organization, Pers expressed confidence that his team will be able to return Sweden to the top of the competitive CS:GO:

“I am super excited to announce that I have signed another three years with NiP. Returning to the coach position at the beginning of the year was a tough decision but I believe that with NiP’s new structure and direction we will be able to finally get Sweden back to the top of CS. I want to thank NiP for this opportunity to continue working with my biggest passion

NiP also presented the strengthening of the coaching staff in the person of analyst Danny "mahone" Hsi. It is reported that he will be engaged in parsing opponents, preparing for the matches and their analysis.
