FURIA guaranteed themselves a spot in the IEM New York 2020 North America playoffs ahead of schedule, having completed four rounds of the group stage without losses. The last opponent of the Brazilian grand was ImPerium, which they've defeated 2:0 - 16:1 on Overpass and 16:9 on Inferno.

In other matches of the game day, Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves scored three points each, beating Rebirth and TeamOne respectively, and their first victory in the tournament was achieved by the Mythic, who were stronger than the Canadian RBG.
