mezii & woxic joined Cloud9

Cloud9 has announced the signing of a contract with William "mezii" Merriman. The 21-year-old player joined Alex "ALEX" McMeekin and became the second member of the new team.

According to General Manager of HenryG Greer, the player will receive $426,000 in three years of contract, which is $11,833 per month. Cloud9 has spent another $83,000 to buy Merriman out of GamerLegion, where he has played since June this year.

Earlier, the British represented such teams as Dog, XENEX, London and Vexed. Newcomer Cloud9 will continue to play for GamerLegion in the European part of the tournament ESEA MDL Season 35, as the roaster of his new team has not yet been assembled.

After that Cloud9 have announced that they have completed the signing of Özgür "⁠woxic⁠" Eker from mousesports. The Turkish AWPer becomes the third member of the new team that the North American organization.

Woxic has played for mousesports since the beginning of 2019 and during this time has won tournaments such as ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals and CS:GO Asia Championships 2019. Last year, Acker took twelfth place in the list of the best players in the world according to HLTV.org.
