ALEX joined Cloud9

British player Alex "ALEX" McMikin has officially joined Cloud9. According to General Manager of the CS:GO team  Henry "HenryG" Greer, the contract was signed for three years and the whole deal cost the organization $1,650,000.

“We’re entering a new stage in our CS:GO development, and we’re really excited to show our fans and community what we’ve been working on. We’re grateful to our existing roster and all their hard work and determination – as we enter this next chapter, we’re dedicated to finding them a new home that will empower their continued growth.”

The 24-year-old pro signed a contract with Cloud9 the day after he left Vitality, where he won cs_summit 4, ECS Season 7 Finals and EPICENTER 2019, and took 5th-8th place at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019.

In addition to ALEX, the Cloud9 now includes coach Alexander "kassad" Trifunovic and analyst Joshua "m1cks" Mix. On September 9, HenryG announced that he has signed two more players, who will be announced soon.
