gla1ve replaced es3tag in starting line-up of Astralis
The in-game leader of Astralis Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander returned to the main team after a three-month break for medical reasons. He replaced Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, who played for the Danish team at ESL One Cologne 2020.
Rossander helped coach Danny "zonic" Sorensen with his tactical plays and opponent analysis during his vacation,. He will now take on the familiar captain role, which in his absence passed to Emil "Magisk" Reif.
The first match for gla1ve in the updated composition of Astralis took place today against Complexity at ESL Pro League Season 12. His team lost on two cards with equal score of 19:17 both on dust and train.

- I'm really excited to get back on the server. It's hard to say where my level will be against a top team like Complexity right now, but I've had some really good practice sessions with the team lately. Intergrating the two new players have gone well, and I'm looking forward to playing with my old teammates, as well as with 'Bubzkji' and 'es3tag', they've both performed really well already.
In their press release, Astralis noted that the es3tag, which remains outside the main roster, will analyze matches and help the coach with the preparation for the upcoming meetings.
Danny 'zonic' Sørensen, Head Coach, Astralis
- It's fantastic to have Lukas back on the active roster. This is the first time I've had to swap players, and it has actually been a difficult decision because es3tag has been doing such a great job during tournaments and practice.
- In the coming months, all of our available players will get to play, and our priority will always be to go into tournaments with the strongest possible roster. It will depend on the opponent and how the players are performing, as well as their need for breaks, but other than having more great players for the team, I also have more eyes to help me analyze the games.
- Firstly, I'm just really excited to have Lukas back. It shows that we're taking good care of our boys and he has come back with a lot of energy and hunger. We're going to look after him, but I am not at all worried about having him play today, the coach comments.
