Grim will replace nitr0 in Team Liquid
19-year-old Michael "Grim" Wince, who previously performed for Triumph, became a Liquid player and took the place of Nicholas "nitr0" Canella. According to DBLTAP journalist Jarek "DeKay" Lewis, this decision was made within the team, which has wanted a change for a long time already.
Nitr0 has been playing for Liquid since 2015 as a captain and sniper. The American's highest achievement was winning the second season of Intel Grand Slam (IEM Sydney 2019, DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, ESL Pro League S9 Finals and ESL One: Cologne 2019), as well as reaching the final of the major ESL One Cologne 2016.
Grim is one of the main talents of North America. He became a Triumph player in February this year and has since shown a rating of 1.31 on 134 cards. According to Rush B Media, Liquid paid special attention to the young player after his performance against the MIBR in thee qualifyiers for cs_summit 6, where on three cards he made 123 frags with 109.2 ADR and 1.56 rating.
It is expected that the first Grim tournament in the new team will be DreamHack Open Summer for North America. This championship will run online from August 8 to 16.
If the information is confirmed, the composition of Liquid will look like this:
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski
Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken
Keith "NAF" Markovic
Jake "Stewie2K" Yip
Michael "Grim" Vince
Eric "adreN" Hoag (Coach)
