Astralis Blog: built to last

Anders Hørsholt, CEO, Astralis Group commented on the unsuccessful performance of the CS:GO team, which had undergone forced changes a few weeks earlier. He is sure that after a while the team will again show good results.

We’ve failed to qualify for the Spring Finals of BLAST and Dreamhack Masters, but it probably comes as no surprise when I say we did not expect to cruise through these tournaments with two brand new players on the team. What we did see, though, is a team and a group that kept their composure and players who kept up the hard work and who immediately integrated the new players in the group.

Astralis is built to win and we can never be satisfied when we don’t, but I and the whole organization around the team are proud to see how the guys stand up with their chest out and fight for the team under these circumstances. We will be back as a winning team, but it will take time.

At the end of May, Astralis players Lucas "gla1ve" Rossander and Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth announced their decision to temporarily leave the CS:GO competition scene to take up recovery. At the BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Europe Showdown and DreamHack Masters Spring 2020, the Danish grand performed with Jacob "JUGi" Hansen and Marc "Snappi" Pfeiffer.

After the recent rating update HLTV.org Astralis moved down from second to fourth place. This is the worst result for the team since September 2019.
