Astralis Overtook G2 in the Grandfinals of ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe

Astralis became the champion of the rating championship ESL One: Road to Rio for Europe. In the Grand Final of the regional championship, which took place in the format of up to three victories with the advantage of one card for the finalist of the upper bracket, the Danish Grand defeated G2 3:0 - 16:6 on Nuke and 16:2 on Vertigo.

Lucas "gla1ve"  Rossander's team finished the group stage in first place, securing a playoff start from the top bracket. The team beat G2 and FaZe dry on their way to the Grand Final.

European tournament ESL One: Road to Rio was held from April 22 to May 17. Sixteen of the region's strongest players shared a prize pool of $115,000 and 13600 points in the RMR rankings.
