Moche XL Esports 2020 cancelled due to COVID-19
E2Tech announced the cancellation of the Moche XL Esports 2020, which was to be held on June 27-28 in the Portuguese capital. The reason for this decision was the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
In a published statement the tournament operator refers to the strengthening of quarantine measures in the country, which include a ban on all public events and the free movement of people. No further plans for the Moche XL Esports series are reported.
Moche XL Esports 2020 was the last LAN tournament in the summer competition schedule. Earlier Games Clash Arena 2020, DreamHack Masters Jonkoping 2020, DreamHack Open Valencia 2020 and IEM Melbourne 2020 were cancelled. Scheduled for late August, ESL One Cologne 2020 will run in closed format.
