DeKay: Astralis intends to expand to 7

Astralis is exploring the possibility of expanding their lineup to eight people and plans to sign at least one player in the near future. This was reported by DBLTAP journalist Jarek "DeKay" Lewis with reference to several sources close to the Danish club.

In late March, Astralis introduced Patrick "es3tag" Hansen as the sixth player of its team. The 24-year-old Danish will join the team in July this year, when his existing contract with Heroic expires.

According to coach Danny "zonic" Sorensen, all six members of the team will be involved on equal terms, refuting the view that the newcomer will become a reserve player. ESL and BLAST supported the innovative approach of Astralis and reminded that their tournaments can make substitutions right in the course of matches.

Astralis is currently playing at ESL One: Road to Rio, where they lead Group A after five rounds of group stage with four wins. Also in May, the Danish Grand Prix will participate in DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 and BLAST Spring 2020 Showdown.
