ESL One Cologne and IEM Melbourne 2020/2021 Update Released

ESL has published a portion of updated information regarding the scheduled events for this year. All the details available in the official announces below.

Update for ESL One Cologne 2020 & 2021


Following Germany’s official ruling that no large gatherings can take place until the end of August, 2020 we are announcing that the 2020 edition of ESL One Cologne will take place without a live audience this year. At the same time, we unveil the ESL One Cologne 2021 dates: July 16 -18 with all purchased 2020 tickets remaining valid for next year’s event.

We will be back in LANXESS arena on July 16-18 in 2021. If you have already booked your trip to Cologne in 2020, we advise to cancel and reschedule your bookings. Your purchased tickets for 2020 remain fully valid for ESL One Cologne 2021. If you already know you can’t make the new dates next year, you are able to request a ticket refund until the end of 2020. Please read through the official event website and FAQ on how to request a refund.

In the spirit of esports and to keep the competition for players going, this year's ESL One Cologne will be transformed into a broadcasted tournament without a live-audience on August 21-30. Our team is currently working out the final tournament details to still bring ESL One Cologne to you, the fans, with a solution that is the best and safest for players, coaches, employees, and talent. More information will be available soon.

Update for IEM Melbourne 2020 & 2021

IEM Melbourne will no longer take place in 2020, and instead has been rescheduled to 2021. The decision has been reached in light of the current global health situation, and is in line with local restrictions on gatherings..

We will be heading to Rod Laver Arena at the 2021 edition of the Melbourne Esports Open, which will take place over the weekend of August 21-22, 2021. If you have already booked your trip to Melbourne in 2020, we recommend you cancel your trip and reschedule any bookings where possible. Your purchased tickets for 2020 still remain fully valid for IEM Melbourne 2021. If you already know you can’t make the new dates, you are able to request a refund anytime over the next month through Ticketek.
