Jammpi sues Valve for €268,092

Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen intends to sue Valve Corporation for compensation of €268,092 for VAC-ban on one of his accounts, which prevented him from signing the contract with OG. This was announced by Finnish tabloid Ilta-Sanomat, referring to the statement of 18-year-old player in Uusimaa court.

According to the source, the cooperation with OG could provide Jamppi with earnings of €264,000 as a base salary and at least €100,000 per year from the prize money won in the tournaments. According to the plaintiff's lawyers' calculations, the total loss is currently €268,092.

A few days earlier, the trial between Olkkonen and Valve Corporation has been revealed by insider Jarek "DeKay" Lewis. On March 28, during a live broadcast on his personal Twitch-channel the player said that he does not plan to sue, but he does not rule out the possibility if the developer Counter-Strike does not get in touch with him.

Jamppi made its debut on the CS:GO professional scene in 2017. At the end of last year, he was close to signing a contract with OG, which regarded him as the main candidate for the role of a sniper, but at the last moment refused due to the uncertain situation with the VAC-ban.
