BIG Announces Sponsorship with Red Bull

BIG revealed a sponsorship Wednesday with Red Bull. It is the first German esports team to be sponsored by the energy drink giant.

The sponsorship is already in effect as BIG's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team competes at the IEM Katowice Major this week.

"As CEO, I am very proud that only two years after our foundation we were able to convince a global brand like Red Bull of our vision. It is an honor and a significant milestone in the history of Berlin International Gaming," CEO Daniel Finkler said in a news release. "The partnership establishes not only our top position in Germany, but also in Europe and on a global scale. We have achieved a lot together, and now we want to go even higher with Red Bull."

BIG is currently a competitor in IEM Katowice as one of the Legends thanks to its performance at FACEIT Major London.
