Heroic Coach Peacemaker Benches MODDII

Andreas "MODDII" Fridh exited Heroic's active Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster Wednesday, according to an announcement from the team.

Heroic tweeted the news early Wednesday morning, writing that Heroic CS:GO coach Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu made the call. The team wrote more information would be released later in the day.

MODDII joined Heroic in August 2016 after having played for nine different teams in stints generally lasting less than a year per team. When peacemaker left Heroic because of health problems in May, MODDII stepped in as his temporary replacement. Three months later, Niko "naSu" Kovanen assumed that same role, putting MODDII back on the player lineup.

Peacemaker returned to the team, and to his role as coach, in November. After a successful first place finish at TOYOTA Masters Bangkok, Heroic signed peacemaker to a contract an released naSu.

Heroic fell to ENCE Esports at 9-12th place in at the IEM Katowice Europe Minor Championship closed qualifier, failing to qualify for the event.
