Cloud9 Signs Flusha to CS:GO Roster; Releases STYKO

Cloud9 announced the signing of Robin "flusha" Rönnquist to replace Martin "STYKO" Styk on its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.

An earlier report from VPEsports claimed flusha was practicing as a stand-in ahead of BLAST Pro Series Istanbul, though it was possible flusha might permanently be added to the CS:GO roster. Cloud9 confirmed the reports Tuesday by announcing it released STYKO and officially replaced him with flusha.

"Despite my short adventure under the Cloud9 banner, I have to say I will remember it for a long time. It was an experience that doesn’t come often, and I tried to be as good as I could," STYKO said.

Cloud9 CEO and owner Jack Etienne expressed his excitement in the post. "The work ethic he has needed to sustain success at the highest level is going to be a great fit for our roster and organization. Can’t wait to see him in action."

The new Cloud9 roster will play Friday at BLAST Pro Series Istanbul.
