Valve Hands Out Over 60,000 VAC Bans on July 19

Valve has banned over 60,000 accounts on July 19 alone.

While the VAC bans are not most-likely entirely for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valve seems to have either upgraded VACNET, its program that detects cheats and continues to learn more about them as it bans people, or found a widely used cheat and banned any player that had it.

Valve has been attempting to teach and train the machine commonly referred to as VACNET to find and eliminate cheaters by being able to clearly define the difference between a world-class player and someone who is hacking. It is unclear whether the machine or Valve is behind the recent wave of bans, but it does show Valve is taking action to remove cheaters before the release of the Panorama interface.
