Stewie2SK confirmed by organization

Though vague on details, the German organization were careful to say that the player is currently "temporary".

Yesterday, Cloud9 announced the departure of Jake "Stewie2K" Yip. Since the Brazilian squad had failed to secure the services of Natus Vincere duo Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Egor "flamie" Vasilyev, rumors had persisted that their new target would be the Cloud9 star.

Now, the German organization has made a formal announcement the player as "the new temporary fifth" for their CS:GO squad.

SK Managing Director Alexander Müller said the following of the move:

2018 hasn't been kind to us so far and as a team that strives to be number #1, changes had to be made. It's very important for us to bring back the missing stability in our roster and despite that adding a non-Brazilian player presents new challenges for the squad, we believe Stewie is the right man to help us stop the streak of poor results and start our climb back up the rankings. Playing in a new kind of environment will be an additional boost for the team to practice harder than ever and the results will surely follow very soon

For his own part, Stewie2K seems to be enjoying his newfound role as a villain of sorts to legions of American fans:

SK's roster is now:

Бразилия, Brazil, BR Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
Бразилия, Brazil, BR Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
Бразилия, Brazil, BR Marcelo "coldzera" David
Бразилия, Brazil, BR Ricardo "boltz" Prass
США, United States, US Jake "Stewie2K" Yip

Stewie2K's debut with his new team will be April 4th against Splyce in ESL Pro League. SK are currently a dismal 3-7 in the league, and will hope that the addition of the American will turn around their fortunes.
