FACEIT to host next CS:GO Major in London

FACEIT has been awarded the next CS:GO Major, and will be holding it in London, England this September.

The FACEIT London Major, which will take place from Sept. 20-23, will be the second CS:GO Major of 2018, following January's ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta. As with all CS:GO Majors, the tournament will feature a $1 million prize pool.

"The community has been at the heart of everything we do at FACEIT, and we’re so grateful for the support of the players on our platform and those who’ve attended and watched ECS,” FACEIT co-founder Michele Attisani said in a press release. “We’re excited to create an amazing celebration of CS:GO to honor that commitment. We look forward to seeing everyone there in September."

FACEIT will also be running all of the online qualifiers for all regions, and all of the Minors in addition to the live Major finals, in an attempt to "provide consistency and cohesion to the Major."

FACEIT will host the Major finals at the Wembley Arena, which is primarily a concert venue.
