GamerLegion, G2, Falcons, and FaZe through to Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs

Second day of the Esports World Cup 2026 Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament, currently underway in Paris, has concluded. Today, the participants played six more matches in the group stage.

In Group A, GamerLegion defeated JiJieHao, while G2 bested BIG. The winners of these matches advanced to the tournament's playoffs. Furthermore, in the lower bracket, Team Spirit got the better of Luminocity, while Aurora prevailed over M80. The losing squads were eliminated from the competition.

In Group B, Falcons dispatched Astralis, while FaZe took down Legacy. The winners qualified for the Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs, while the losers dropped to the lower bracket. All matches were best-of-three.

Esports World Cup 2026 will take place from August 12 to 23, 2026, in Paris, France. The total prize pool of the event is $2 million, which will be divided among 32 squads. More detailed information about the competition can be found via the link.
